On 26 June 2024, a packed room of 200 people from across the UK gathered in Leeds for the inaugural Quality Professionals Awards for Further Education and Employability. We founded these not-for-profit awards to help shine the spotlight on the many people who diligently work behind the scenes to continuously improve the quality of experience for learners and job seekers.
It was a wonderful afternoon of celebration and being each other’s best cheerleaders.
Our CEO Lou Doyle, closed the ceremony by talking about the legacy we aim to build. She highlighted four key next steps:
- Share the stories of the finalists, who all exemplified why these awards are so important
- Undertake research to help build a roadmap to advance quality and compliance careers
- Improve the number of people from underrepresented groups in quality and compliance roles
- Quality Professionals Awards 2025. We’ll be back!
We’ll get the holiday season out of the way so watch out in September for the first of the finalists case studies. You’ll meet the fantastic Apprenticeship Quality Team from Middlesbrough College, who helped secure an Outstanding grade for their apprenticeship provision in their recent inspection.
If you’d like to experience the event, you can catch up on a video and lots of photos on the awards website.
We would like to once again pass on our thanks to the incredible line up of sponsors who helped me these awards happen. We can’t wait to work with them again next year.
